Aspects of Bingo to Think About

You may not consider yourself a hardcore bingo player but if you find yourself playing more than a few hours of bingo a day or even per week then there are certain things to think about when playing. Comfort and taking breaks every hour are just a few things one should take in to consideration. Not only by doing so will your body appreciate it but you will also come to love bingo even more than usual.

How Comfy Are You?

Comfort is a huge factor when playing online bingo but it is usually over looked. The more hours of bingo you play the more you will feel aches and pains, especially in your back and wrists. Buying a comfy chair maybe a little on the expensive side but it is an investment worth investing in.

Are You Taking Breaks?

It is essential to take around a 5 – 15 break for every hour of bingo you play so you do not develop any headaches due to eye strain. Bingo players who play bingo for hours on end and do not win a single penny will soon become frustrated leading to stress and headaches. Having breaks will also help calm you down when you are not on a winning streak. Not only this but you will notice that your money will start to last much longer.

Setting Yourself a Budget is a Must

We have all been there, you put £10 on bingo and tell yourself it is going to last a few days to soon realise that it has all gone within the hour. We all think in the state of mind that one more game never hurt anything, but infact it does. It hurts your pocket!

Set yourself a daily or weekly budget and make sure you stick to it, never go a penny over or you will fall back into routine. Bingo is a great game when playing for entertainment purposes, turning the game into a gambling addiction can be very dangerous and it is worth coming to terms when enough is enough. If worse comes to worse and you have used your budget you can always play free bingo.

I Did Not Know I Could Chat

Most online bingo sites have built in chat rooms where all bingo players can talk to one another. Some players overlook these chatrooms and think why would I use them. You can be quite surprised how easy you can make friends when using them. You all have something in common...bingo! Just start with that and you will soon realise that other people have the same luck as you and do not win constantly. Knowing simple things like this can give you hope or winning and keep your stress levels down.

Maths Bingo - Bingo is Not Always About Gambling

It is a fact that most children do not like Maths and you will usually hear the words from your child's mouth: "I do not like maths, maths is boring". If you find yourself to be a parent with a child who is similar there is still hope. Why not try Maths Bingo? Bingo is not always about playing online bingo but has an educational purpose too where no money is involved but instead some kind of sweets for the winner.

Maths Bingo will help your child learn the basics of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division and hopefully make it fun at the same time. Bingo is very diverse and it can be integrated into many subjects, not just maths and is a great way for teachers to get their pupils to concentrate, learn and have fun all at the same time.

Maths bingo is easy to set up and there can be different variations. Usually simple arithmetic problems are printed onto bingo cards that are given to your child. To play the game you simply call out the problems that need solving that are on the cards randomly. Get your child to find the problem/equation and solve it. When your child gets a line of 5 correct answers on his/her card get them to yell "BINGO" as they win.

The game is better if your child gets his or her friends, brothers or sisters to play so they can compete together. Maths bingo is great for a teacher to play with their students.

These cards can be either printed online or can be made by hand. You need to decide how hard to make the equations on the card. Obviously if your child is young you may want to stick to simple equations such as 4 + 2 =.

Next time your child/pupils do not want to learn why not suggest a game of Maths Bingo?

Do You Know Your Bingo Lingo?

Bingo Lingo is just little liners that are said just before a bingo number is called. They are just there to make the game more fun and for the experienced bingo player they can usually guess the number before with the one liner before the number is even mentioned, this gives the bingo player a little more time to mark their cards.

The lingo does change depending on the bingo hall you play in or the bingo site you are playing at below are just the most common names for each number. You do not need to learn each liner to be able to play the game as you will usually pick them up as you play enough games.

Top 5 Bingo Adverts

Turn on your TV on throughout the day and watch any daytime television and on the adverts you will usually come across atleast 1 bingo advert per break, or a bingo site that is sponsoring a programme, they are everywhere.

These bingo adverts usually try to be funny and usually are cheesy in one way or another, below are are list of the top 5 online bingo articles that I believe to be the best.

75 Ball Bingo or 90 Ball Bingo?

If you play bingo in traditional bingo halls then you are relying on a bingo machine to call numbers out and a caller to call these. The game is based on chance as the numbers are picked by the tambala at random; the machine usually uses a vacuum to suck balls as random while they spin around in the machine

Most people when they think of the origins of bingo think of the United States and believe the most modern version was created by a guy called Edwin Lowe, there is however different variations on this story and some people will beg to differ. No matter what you believe the modern game is played differently depending on your location in the world, some parts of the world favour a different style of bingo to the rest. If you live in the USA you are more likely to play 75 ball bingo, but the rest of the world favour the style 90 ball bingo.

Although these games are similar, each game does vary and the game does actually change depending on which style you are playing.

75 Ball Bingo

In 75 ball bingo there are a total of 75 balls that the machine uses and thus how the game got its name. Any ticket that is purchase will contain random numbers between 1 and 75 and each number is only printed once per ticket.

The tickets that are used consist of a 5 x 5 grid of numbers where each column or row is represented by a letter from the word BINGO. The card then has a blank square known as a free space. The card then only has 24 numbers on due to the free space.

The games can vary slightly but you usually have three styles: you either have to get all the 24 numbers to shout “BINGO”, get either a vertical, diagonal, or horizontal line of numbers, or you have a pattern that your winning numbers need to make, once your make this pattern you then win, regardless of not covering all 24 numbers.

90 Ball Bingo

In 90 ball bingo there are a total of 90 balls that the machine uses and again this is where the name came from. A ticket that is purchased is part of a strip of 6 tickets. One full strip consists of 3 rows and 9 columns; each numbers is printed on a full strip with empty squares between numbers.

Each ticket has 15 numbers and each column is in order of: 1-9, 10-19, 20-19 and so on up to 90. This layout is so numbers can be easily found on a single card or strip. If you are playing with a full strip you will need to mark every number as the strip contains every number, a single ticket only has 15 numbers so loads of called numbers will not appear on your card.

Usually there are 3 chances to win on this style of bingo. 1 line – Getting every number on a single line. 2 lines – Getting every number on 2 lines on a single ticket, not strip. Full House – Getting every number on a single ticket, again not a strip. Shouting “BINGO” if you are the first person to do any of the previous 3 will make you the winner.

What is The Difference?

Although both styles of game follow the same outline of a bingo machine, bingo caller and bingo cards, each game does slightly vary. Because of this some people will chose one variation of the game over the other one.

In 90 ball bingo you have three chances to win but the prize money gets split up into three pots, with 75 ball bingo you only get 1 chance to win but the pot is bigger in money and it is like combining all 3 of the 90 ball bingo pots.

As 90 ball bingo uses 90 balls and there are 3 chances to win, the game usually lasts longer than 75 ball bingo, because of this the game is favoured as you can usually play for longer as you do not waste as much money because games last longer.
